How to update your WordPress password in 2020

Updating your WordPress password is very important for the security of your website. It is recommended to update your password every month, but I recommend updating your WordPress password two times a month!

Much like everything in WordPress, we have to start at the dashboard. From the dashboard scroll down on the left-hand side, until you find the tab, “Users” then click it.

From there, you will see a list of users that have access to your website, be sure to update EVERY user!

Hover over the user, then click edit. From there, scroll down to the “Account Management” section, and that is where you will update your WordPress password.

Click, “Generate Password” and be sure to copy the password to make sure you don’t forget it!

Then click, “Update Profile”

Boom! Your WordPress password is updated! This task should only take 2-5 minutes, so be sure to update it regularly.
